More about Regent Brass
Regent Brass is one of the finest brass bands in the UK. Formed in 1985 and based in the London Borough of Brent, the band is an ambitious and dynamic ensemble performing an exciting mix of concerts, contests and international tours. Its membership reflects the diversity of London and over the years has welcomed musicians from England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France, Italy, Switzerland, Iceland, Norway, the USA, New Zealand, Australia, Japan and South Korea

In its formative years the band's competitive spirit saw it rise dramatically from the Fourth Section to the Championship Section in only six years. In 2013 Regent Brass won its fifth London and Southern Counties Area Contest and has qualified for the National Finals of Great Britain on nine occasions. The band is ranked regularly among the top 100 bands in the world. Regent Brass enjoys an international profile with tours to Holland, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland and the United States and its recordings and live performances and have been featured on radio, television and film.

Regent Brass widened its appeal with the creation of Regent Community Brass, providing performance opportunities and training for enthusiastic musicians throughout London. To mark the formation of this new ensemble, Regent Brass commissioned and premiered a new work in June 2013 by Raymond Yiu with support from the BBC Performing Arts Fund and Performing Rights Society. RCB now acts as an important resource for the community, performing at local events and contests alongside Regent Brass. Regent Brass is a charitable organisation and welcomes opportunities to raise funds for its own work and to support other charities through shared fundraising activities. The members of the band offer their time and talents freely and without remuneration.
